Visit several iconic sites in just one day. Starting in Athens, your luxury tour to the Argolis region begins as we cross the historically significant Corinth Canal.

Next, we’ll explore the Αcrocorinth castle, once the citadel of both ancient and medieval Corinth that boasts ruins of the Temple of Aphrodite and more. Visit the Temple of Apollo which sits atop an imposing rocky hill as well as the podium of Saint Paul the Apostle. Another highlight is the Archaeological Museum of Ancient Corinth. Located within the archaeological stie, it is home to the catalogued discoveries from the American School of Classical Studies Corinth excavations. See relics from influential Roman sculptures, such as Julius Caesar, to prehistoric settlement artifacts.

From there we’ll drive through the mountains to the city of Mycenae, a hilltop site inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List for its outstanding ancient architecture, tombs, relics, and mythology. Afterwards, we’ll head to Nafplio, a charming seaport city and the first modern capital of Greece, to see the Palamidi Fortress. Built by the Venetians in 1686-1715, and commanding breathtaking views, we’ll complete the day wandering about and enjoying local fare at a classic Greek tavern.

If you choose the extended experience, we will continue our journey to the Ancient Epidaurus area. Deemed an architectural masterpiece, and one of the most famous archaeological sites, the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus is not to be missed. Built in early 4th century BC, it’s home to the Sanctuary of Asclepius, the god of healing, and son of Apollo, and is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List for its importance in the spread of healing sanctuaries throughout Classical Antiquity.
